A Leadership reflection: “So this is Christmas and what have you done? Another year over and a new one just begun…”
It’s that time of the year where we reflect on our achievements and start to plan forward on opportunities and challenges learnt for a better or different year ahead.
At The HR Landscape, 2014 has been an extraordinary year supporting extraordinary leaders in realising their full potential. Together we have experienced the highs and lows, celebrated milestones and set course for a bigger and more different 2015. Aspirations have been real with genuine commitment to building meaningful interactions with colleagues and staff.
The ability to engage, inspire and create a vision that people believe takes a special bread of leadership. Of all the great leaders of our time there remains a quality that stands out from the rest – Humility.
As I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, in the words of the great John Lennon, I leave you with a final 2014 leadership reflection; “And what have you done?”– Reflect back on the year that was and identify an action you took (or a senior manager you reported to had taken), that had a positive and profound impact on a colleague or staff member. What was it about this action that caused such a positive experience?
