How To Breed Leadership
Duration: 6 – 12 month program
Since 2007, The HR Landscape has been supporting organisations through change and capability building programs. With demand growing for such services we have designed a training program called One Team to assist Executives and their direct reports explore opportunities for change in culture and behaviours and to build sustainable strategies for improving individual, team and organisational performance.
One Team is a tailored leadership training program designed to create a culture of high performance. One Team is about breaking down silos and building the ‘collective’; resulting in heightened organisational performance. Bringing teams together at strategic junctions throughout the year, we explore your specific business challenges and objectives and work with you on leadership behaviours and people and culture strategies necessary for successful attainment of these objectives.
One Team is a continuous improvement opportunity relating strategy and operations to the leadership behaviours necessary for bringing it all together and making things happen through people. We introduce you to team building and development initiatives that instil a united purpose and increase energy and engagement within and across teams. Team commitments are made and outcomes specific to your organisational objectives are taken back into the workplace for implementation.
One Team leadership program includes development opportunities across two levels of management;
Level 1 – Executive (CEO, Executive Officers, General Managers, Directors)
Level 2 – Middle Managers (ie; direct reports to Executive Team)
Our experience shows that before meaningful interactions can be built at the middle manager level, organisations need to build leadership capabilities required to model the desired values and behaviours for others to follow. This is why our approach begins by building capability at the Executive level before incorporating development opportunities for level 2 managers. An added benefit to this approach is that executive level participants will gain the leadership and coaching capabilities necessary to support direct reports in their own development journey and their effectiveness in managing and leading teams at an operational level.
One Team commences with a 4 day workshop spread across 6 weeks followed by facilitated full day check point sessions at 3, 6 and 12 months plus bi-monthly individual coaching support ensures that the team remains on track, for optimum transformational results. Program also includes whole-of-organisation One Team experiences where staff join management for a truly integrated approach in building high performing teams.
When is the best time to introduce One Team?
Any time really, but here are some examples of when you can gain greatest benefit:
- Prior to introducing a major change program ie; a restructure, culture change
- Appointment of a new Executive team
- Appointment of a new Chief Executive
- Appointment of a new Board with new strategic imperatives
- At key points in the annual strategic planning cycle
- When there is a need to align HR Strategy to Business
- When behaviours are getting in the way
